I am an outcome focused, pragmatic and commercially aware restructuring advisory professional, with a unique blend of experience gained from working as an Insolvency Practitioner and from 7 years working in various roles at the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). I am a qualified Chartered Accountant and Insolvency Practitioner with experience of restructuring and insolvency assignments, both contentious and transactional. I am accustomed to dealing with and advising multiple stakeholders including the FCA/regulatory bodies, boards of directors, senior management, lenders and customers. I also have experience in forensic accounting and investigations as well as FCA remediation (s166 FSMA), regulatory change project work. and conduct risk and prudential supervision, including capital and liquidity assessments. I am experienced in leading on complex and technically challenging projects, achieving desired/successful outcomes whilst developing and motivating team members and building high-performing teams.

Leading the FCA's resolution strategy for failing and failed regulated firms; helping to mitigate harms to consumers as a result of the impacts of Covid-19, Brexit and any economic downturn. Shaping the FCA’s approach to resolution both internally and externally.

Interim Head of Office of Professional Body Anti-Money Laundering Supervision (OPBAS)
Leading and managing the team responsible for the supervision of 25 Professional Body Supervisors (PBSs), to ensure a consistently high standard of AML supervision by the PBSs. Leading the development and implementation of OPBAS’s supervisory assessment strategy.

Manager, 'Mini-bond' Supervision Project Team
Designed the FCA’s strategic supervisory approach to the risks posed by firms and individuals involved in the mini-bond distribution chain. Assembled, managed and led a multi-disciplinary team of 14 individuals from across Supervision, Authorisations and Enforcement to implement the supervisory approach to mini-bonds and speculative illiquid investments.

Manager, Prudential Specialists Department
Leading and managing a team of technical risk specialists undertaking: capital and liquidity assessments of investment firms; financial risk analysis; and regulated covered bond supervision. Providing specialist prudential crisis and financial resilience support to FCA supervisors. Developing and implementing prudential key risk indicator dashboards across the FCA's Supervision division. Chair of the FCA's CRD IV Steering Group and Effectiveness Management Group.

Consequential Loss Team Leader/Customer Review Director
Secondment from BDO into Barclays' Interest Rate Hedging Resolution Team as part of the remediation programme to provide redress to customers who were mis-sold interest rate hedging products.
