During my time at Plejd, the company grew from a startup of 10 employees into a major success with 250 employees. I led the design and development of a custom gateway product. This project drew inspiration from various sources, including ROS (Robot Operating System) and Kubernetes. The gateway's stringent hardware limitations, such as an 8MB NOR flash partition, demanded the operating system to be optimized for minimal footprint. Over time, this project grew into a team of 8 with my role primarily as the lead software designer. Key Accomplishments and Responsibilities: - Operating System Design: Led the design and development of a Linux-based operating system, tailored to the unique requirements of the gateway. - Hardware Integration: Authored Device Tree specifications as well as u-boot and Linux configurations to ensure successful and reliable booting of the Linux Kernel, - PKI, Secure Boot and Software Update mechanism: Designed a secure boot mechanism and software update mechanism along with a custom Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) used in boot verification as well as encrypted cloud communication, - EMC Compatibility: Ensured Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) compliance of the device, - Message Passing System and Parsing: Authored a custom message passing system based on NATS and designed various Finite State Machine parsers with high performance and security requirements, - Manufacturing Process: Contributed to various aspects of the manufacturing process such as programming and testing the device - Cloud Infrastructure Management: Managed a suite of services and databases hosted on AWS - Kubernetes Migration: Assisted in transitioning the company’s infrastructure into containerized applications and into Kubernetes - Sysops: Set up and maintained on-premise CI/CD, Gitlab, and NAS servers, - Central Logging System: Designed a central logging system that aggregated logs from diverse sources, including AWS, Kubernetes, and remote syslog

During my time at Pluspole, I assumed substantial responsibilities and often served as the primary software developer on various projects. Pluspole merged with Plejd in 2019. Key Contributions and Responsibilities: - Embedded OS for Smart Fridges: Designed and implemented an embedded operating system for smart fridges utilizing the STM32 platform. - Linux-Based OS for Motorized Solar Panels: Developed a Linux-based operating system for a motorized solar panel, including backend components such as databases, containerization, and CI/CD integration. - Diverse System Design: Contributed to the conception of various systems, ranging from manufacturing automation to frontend and backend development, devops, and database management. Embedded programming was a key aspect. - Educational Initiatives: Utilized allocated educational resources to organize "hacker nights”. These events focused on building robots and exploring electronic projects.

During my time at Gothenburg University, I was deeply invested in abstract mathematics and functional programming. I spent a lot of time in Haskell and I had a passion for complex systems, neural networks, and evolutionary algorithms. I also served on the board of the student union, an association responsible for representing all students in the IT department. Within the student union, my responsibilities included organising and hosting various events - particularly for new students, disseminating information, and promoting a pleasant environment for everyone. Additionally, I undertook organisational tasks such as drafting bylaws, taking meeting notes, and handling various documentation. I was also part of the local hackerspace, Robotföreningen (“Robot Club”), where we explored electronics in our past time.

Studied one year of physics where I studied - among others - mechanics, thermodynamics, linear algebra, multivariable analysis and numerical analysis.
