About

As the owner of Beyond Balance, I’ve turned my passion into a business. Beyond Balance manufactures equipment used for scoliosis physical therapy, Pilates, and fitness. My journey into manufacturing fitness and PT equipment began in 2016, when I started yoga to relieve chronic back, neck, and shoulder pain. I found relief and gained mobility, discovering inversions and handstands along the way. I was introduced to stall bars and decided to make a set of my own. This gave me the opportunity to gain even more strength and improve my overall wellness. However, the design was based on an inexpensive model, and it wasn’t optimal. Leveraging decades of experience as an engineer, I designed a new set of stall bars. They worked great. I started making equipment for friends and Beyond Balance was born in my garage. Since our founding, I’ve gained valuable input from the PT community, Pilates trainers, and distinguished healthcare leaders, fine-tuning our products and creating new iterations for ideal usability and peak performance. We continue to grow and innovate. Our line of natural wood products works great for Schroth & BSPTS Rigo method therapies, Pilates, and overall fitness. We’re excited about the rapid expansion of non-surgical treatments for scoliosis and kyphosis that utilize our stall bars. Our equipment helps physical therapists, doctors, Pilates trainers and individuals create functional clinics and home gyms. Beyond Balance offers traditional and free standing Swedish stall bars (aka Schroth ladders, wooden wall bars, gymnastics stall bars) and other Schroth method and Pilates equipment. We supply quality, affordable, American-made equipment while striving to reduce our impact on the planet by participating in a tree replanting program with the National Forest Foundation and using sustainable practices in production and shipping. Our brand promise: to always operate with integrity and honesty while providing the best in customer service we possibly can. We procure and manufacture our products in the US and ship across the country and Canada. After many years of injuries and chronic pain, I was determined to find a way to better health. Wood stall bars were a revelation for me, and I love being able to help others in their therapeutic and fitness journeys. I’m on LinkedIn to grow my network and connect with physical therapists, doctors, Pilates trainers, and other health/fitness professionals. And if you or a loved one has scoliosis or kyphosis, I’d be happy to tell you more about our products and help connect you to a therapist.
