I launched Barpal Services in 2005, leveraging extensive experience to provide consulting and asset management services. At SRS, I led business development activities, focusing on decommissioned power and energy assets. The company bought, brokered, and resold surplus industrial products.

I initially joined the management team at Duke Energy in 1999 and held roles of progressive responsibility, culminating in a leadership role managing P&L with responsibility for maintaining, marketing, and selling hundreds of millions worth of surplus turbines and equipment. » Director, Program Manager, Investment Recovery (’03-’05) » Director, Technical Services (‘02 – ‘03) » Manager, Engineering (‘99 to ‘02) Areas of focus include but were not limited to equipment management, program management, budgeting, team leadership, sales, vendor management, negotiations, process improvements, due diligence, cross-functional collaboration, and technical/engineering support. ■ Providing both engineering and business leadership, I worked closely with strategic partners across functions. I supported our teams, leveraging effective communication and organization skills to empower our success. At Siemens Westinghouse, I held broad responsibilities across engineering and business areas, leading as Advanced Project/Field Engineer of a general equipment supply for a 2x1 combined cycle power plant featuring the company’s most advanced technology. Areas of focus include but were not limited to project management, manufacturing and production support, contract negotiations, cross-functional collaboration with marketing on business development and sales, design, budgeting, and cost controls. ■ This was a formative time in my career where I continued to hone my skills as an engineer while learning the intricacies of what it takes to grow a business. From designing upgrades to meet the requirements of our customers to managing projects to ensure we met schedules and budgets, my work here served as a solid foundation for my future efforts in product development and business leadership at Beyond Balance.
