About

With over 17 years of experience in the mineral processing sector, I bring a unique blend of scientific depth and practical field expertise. My background includes a Ph.D. in chemistry and a strong track record in leading R&D, managing complex projects, and supporting clients from early-stage evaluations to industrial implementation. I am driven by innovation, with a hands-on, client-focused approach. I adapt quickly to evolving priorities and strive to deliver tailored solutions that meet real operational challenges. Key Areas of Expertise: • Process development and flowsheet optimization • Studies, (iron ore and gold projects) • Innovative separation technologies (Reflux Classifier, ore sorting, etc.) • Commissioning and ramp-up of industrial units • Decarbonization strategies through smart processing Career Highlights: • At Corem, I led R&D in physical separation, managing a broad portfolio of projects: mine planning characterization, preconcentration, fine particle recovery, solid-liquid separation, and fundamental studies of operating equipment. • I was the first researcher to demonstrate the viability of Reflux Classifier technology for Canadian iron ores, a breakthrough that opened new doors for processing low-grade materials. • I also led the implementation of an ore sorting platform at Corem, helping clients explore the benefits of this emerging technology. Currently at Soutex, I am actively: • Supporting major Canadian iron ore producers by integrating Reflux Classifier units into their flowsheets • Participating in commissioning, start-up, and ramp-up of industrial units • Conducting and contributing to gold studies, applying a rigorous, field-informed approach • Developing and testing ore sorting applications aligned with decarbonization and sustainability goals I’m passionate about bridging the gap between research and operations, and about helping the mining industry evolve through practical innovation and smart design.
