I currently serve as the second grade chair representative for my second grade team and as the Continuous School Improvement chair at my current elementary school. I spent four years team teaching with a colleague in an open pod classroom. Served as School Improvement chair for three years and served on the School Improvement team for five years. During my time as chair I served on an AdvancED accreditation team and led my school through the accreditation process. I have served as a chair for the Reading Committee at my former school. My duties included organizing literacy night along with a school wide reading day. This consisted of contacting various community members (30 members) to participate in a reading day at the elementary school. Throughout my teaching experience I have also organized the Wounded Solider program at my school that allowed soldiers to volunteer in the classrooms and work with struggling students. I served on the hospitality committee for seven years.
