Dan Tenney is senior vice president, Global Business Development & Strategy for Lockheed Martin Corporation. In this capacity, Tenney is responsible for bringing integrated capabilities to customers who rely on Lockheed Martin for mission-critical needs. His responsibilities also include establishing comprehensive strategies across the enterprise that will enable future growth. Previously, Tenney was vice president, Strategy & Business Development for Lockheed Martin Rotary & Mission Systems, where he led the future vision and growth strategy for vertical lift, surface warfare, undersea, sensing and combat systems. Before that, he served as Lockheed Martin’s vice president, Strategy & Business Development, for the Space business area. In that role, he achieved record growth for one of the largest space portfolios of any company spanning civil, military and national security roles. Tenney has over 30 years of professional leadership experience in aerospace, government and academia, including more than 27 years at NASA, where he served as the associate administrator for mission support overseeing multi-billion-dollar operations, talent strategies, acquisition, test capabilities, partnership and support services. He joined Lockheed Martin from the University of North Texas System, where he served as the executive vice chancellor and chief financial officer over three major universities and helped to achieve record enrollment. Tenney earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Christopher Newport University and a master’s degree in business administration from Averett University. He also completed the Senior Executive Fellows Program at Harvard University.
