Technical lead for a data network architecture and design team consisting of 30+ data network engineers responsible for gathering Disney business segment requirements and crafting network solutions that meet the needs of those business segments. Responsible for global technical leadership of team and accountable for all network designs and implementations. Lead architect and visionary behind Disney’s attraction Operating Technology / Dedicated Attraction Technology architecture. Partner with network vendors to drive roadmap and strategy and ensure continued alignment with Disney’s needs and overall business objectives.

Managed team of technical architects responsible for all ESPNs LANs, WANs and Wireless networks globally. Served on several committees including Cross Technology Team, Team Building Committee, Mentoring Team and co-chaired Technology Solutions Architect Team. Lead overall direction and vision of data networks and technologies (video contribution and content delivery). Responsible for design and implementation of all broadcast and corporate networks implementation of networks for remote events (Monday Night Football, XGames and World Cup). • Conducted bake-off of network switches to be used in ESPNs new studio facility and uncovered major issue with Cisco line. Resulted in recommendation of Arista equipment that not only performed well but saved company capital and operating expenses. • Originated IP based digital signage system to replace poster board announcements in building lobbies. System saved ESPN +$200K year one and $300K annually. Received award from ESPN for this design and implementation. • Created and deployed first VOIP system (AVAYA) for ESPN and went on to pilot Cisco system in remote office that led to adoption of Cisco telephony network wide. • Designed ESPNs first QoS policy and ESPNs first VRF overlay.

Led team of architects and provided support and mentorship. Provided highest level of support of ESPN LAN/WAN and technologies. Designed, tested, documented, and provided recommendations for new technologies to be implemented on network. Managed successful operations of +30 remote sites. Responsible for successful turn up and tear down of all circuits, routers, and switches for ESPN remote events.

Worked with team of 5 managers and total of 20 direct reports. Division included System Administrators, Network Analysts and Network Engineers all tasked with engineering, administration, and monitoring of network. Managed daily monitoring of all security tools. Performed detailed packet analysis and IP accounting as needed. • Worked with Omega Communications to acquire Picus Communications. Reduced network costs by 20%. • Designed and implemented new Network Operations Center facility in Southington, CT and two SOCs in Virginia. • Consolidated two purchased ISPs into Southington, CT NOC. This included all servers, services, and infrastructure. • Worked with engineering, administration, and analyst teams to ensure successful operation of one NOC and four remote locations encompassing +10K users. • Lead engineer for design, installation and troubleshooting of all customer networks including total LAN and WAN solution for Town of Southington.
