I lead JinkoSolar's Indo-Pacific operations, covering 17 markets from Pakistan to Vietnam to the Philippines. Over the past several years I've watched this region go from early-adopter curiosity to genuine energy transition momentum and the patterns that drive adoption here don't look like anywhere else in the world. What I find most interesting: the gap between where the technology is and where the market narrative is. Distributed solar in Southeast Asia and South Asia is often framed as a cost play. In practice, the decisions that move volume are about trust, reliability under local conditions, and channel relationships that go back years. Price matters but it's rarely the whole story.
