As another summer job in between school years, I worked at Rush Management Inc., a landscaping services company. Much like my responsibilities at College Pro, I ensured quality work by the members of my crew in a timely manner, while providing quality work to the specification of the customer. During that summer, I spent much of my time working with customers, making sure I understood exactly what they wanted done, and effectively relaying that message to my crew so that we could complete the task at hand in a timely and professional manner.

Rafferty's is a Greeley based restaurant, with a bar atmosphere as well as a dining room experience for those who wish to dine in a more relaxed atmosphere. My responsibilities at Rafferty's include waiting tables, where I encounter an assortment of different personalities on a daily basis. My goal with each customer is to provide a relaxed dining experience to the utmost satisfaction of the customer. Along with dealing with people, I also handle money transactions when the customer is ready to pay, and if this does not seem like an important task, try incorrectly counting the change by accident. At Rafferty's I have become very comfortable with all types of people, as it has helped me to realize that not everybody is alike, but common ground can be achieved anywhere as long as both parties cooperate.

My time at Honda of Greeley was short, however I learned many things. Day in and day out I met new people, while trying to get a feel for them and layout a plan of how I can help them to find the automobile that they desired by listening to their wants and needs. The car selling business is centered around relationships, making a good impression on the customer, listening to what they say, and cementing yourself as somebody they can trust will lead them to an intelligent decision if they so choose to make a purchase. As gas prices rose during the summer, the amount of purchasers grew shorter and shorter, thus leading to less revenue for the dealership. Being a new comer to the scene, it did not come as a surprise to me when I was laid off from the dealership because of the aforementioned circumstances. In just over a month of my time there however, I did sell five cars, this is something I was happy with given the economical circumstances.

I worked here while I was home for the summer. During my time, I was a crew manager in the metro Denver area. My responsibilities included ensuring quality work for the customer, meeting deadlines set for each new project, and ensuring quality work from my co-workers while keeping with a comfortable working environment.

Activities and Societies: 3 year varsity letter winner in baseball, senior year all star game selection and selection to all district team. Member of Fellowship of Christian Athletes.

I have helped orchestrate the Cans to Candeleria food drive that runs in the fall of each year, helping the weld food bank support the less fortunate in Weld County. I have designed a press kit for the "Financial Management Association," a business club run through the Monfort College of Business. I have devised a public relations plan for the campus entrepreneurship club in partnership with the "Colorado Business Resource Center." With my plan, the organizations hope to achieve a greater clientele base, as well as gain more interest in the entrepreneurship program offered by the school. Activities and Societies: Two varsity letters for participation in baseball. Senior year team captain as elected by coaching staff. Assisted in production of campus food drive, Cans to Candaleria in Fall of 2008. Created a press kit for "Financial Management Association." Created full P.R. plan for "Colorado Business Resource Center," located in the Monfort College of Business.

I helped run an event for the athletes of the Special Olympics in the Phoenix Metro Area. At the event, I was responsible for helping the athletes with their technique as well as providing encouragement in the shot put, as this was my designated area of assistance. I also volunteered with a Phoenix area elementary school once a week, where I would get together with the kids and participate in gym class games as well as recess activities, the main goal being to encourage physical fitness in today's youth. Activities and Societies: Two varsity letters for my participation in baseball at MCC. Sophomore year co-captain of team. Sophomore pitcher of the year award. Participated as a facilitator of the Phoenix area Special Olympics, where I encouraged participants and emphasized the importance of teamwork. Volunteered at Phoenix area elementary school where I participated alongside the students in gym class, encouraging physical fitness in today's youth.
