A Trade Mark Paralegal administering filing formalities for trade mark applications, managing renewals, assignments and recordals, instructing local agents and performing IP audits on behalf of clients whilst working towards training to qualify as a Trade Mark Attorney and gaining a wider knowledge of IP law and practice.

This job consists of three distinct roles: Case Creation Creating client name and inventor records, creating case records and paper files and requesting credit checks from clients following money laundering prevention guidelines. Filing Specialist Preparing and filing patent applications, instructing foreign attorneys if required, extending up to and including the point where the applications are validly on file and fees that are due have been paid. Post-Filing Obtaining and filing all documentation which is required in connection with a patent application after the application has been filed including attaining priority documents from the relevant Intellectual Property Office, ensuring documents are executed correctly by clients and sending them to foreign associates.
