Managed the medium AC and specialty motor group; provide leadership for sales order design and lead mechanical designer for prototype motors. • Track and assign priority levels to sales orders in engineering. • Lead mechanical engineer for specialty top drive motor application. • Fixed three year old leaking conduit box issue. • Communicate daily with sales force about order status and/or field issues. • Provide guidance and technical expertise to engineers in other departments and plant floor. • Conduct full design reviews for new intricate designs.

Designed custom electric motors for nuclear power plants and navel/marine applications to meticulous customer specifications while ensuring compliance with military specifications, Nuclear Regulatory Commission specifications and internal design controls. • Designed motors to meet the harsh and specialized environments of above deck ship applications, low airborne noise, low structureborne vibration, high shock and radiation. • Troubleshot vibration issues in every type of motor manufactured on site. • Communicated daily with all parties involved in motor design and manufacturing, from the customer down to the assemblers. • Created full scale 3D motor models using SolidWorks 2010 and 2D machining drawings for new parts in AutoCAD2007. • Performed stress, bearing life, and grease life calculations verify the design. • Provided technical support to vendors, marketing and end users.
