During the recession I was very strategic and took advantage of viable opportunities as they materialized due to the volatile economic conditions. My market insights and flexibility always kept me busy and engaged. During 2015-2016 I worked with various out of town firms who benefitted from my extensive knowledge of the San Diego construction industry. I got to enjoy the flexibility of working as a "contract"​ consultant an "as-needed"​ basis managing the overload and/or specialty projects for various firms operating in the San Diego region. I adjust my hours based on the their project requirements so a potential employer can benefit from my extensive management expertise without having to incur the full financial commitment for an employee at that level. I enjoy the challenge of stepping in and managing a tough project to a successful conclusion and then moving on to another challenge...quite possibly with a different firm. And that firm is not obligated to maintain a long-term commitment. I think it's a win-win for both entities.
