I’ve worked with Accenture since 2008, switching to Avanade (a subsidiary) in late 2013. My current project (since April of 2013) is a data translation, transportation, and reporting service, coordinating 24/7 communication between electric and gas utilities and third-party energy retailers. I am a senior developer on our team, and lead client implementations, provide production support, and maintain and upgrade our infrastructure. I also mentor the junior members of our tech team—including traveling abroad to visit and train our offshore support personnel.

As an intern, I was a member of a software development team, working on a joint Gestalt-Villanova research initiative for the Department of Defense. My responsibilities included testing Service-Oriented Architecture networks using tools such as Ethereal and JUnit, developing custom test tools using Java, and evaluating software models of SOA networks.

My past projects with Accenture included writing and maintaining a situational awareness web app, used by the Air Force. For that web app, I designed and coded ExtJS / JavaScript-based interfaces that users would interact with via their browsers, while also writing backend REST services in Java and Groovy which ran on our servers behind-the-scenes. Prior to that project, I developed a Java-based simulation generator for the Department of Defense. Earlier, for my first project, I maintained and automated a customer information system for several Canadian electrical utilities.
