Critical Environments Engineering Director - Operational Standards Global Lead
Global
Accountable for defining and governing the global operational standards and assurance frameworks that enable safe, resilient and scalable operations across one of the world’s largest hyperscale data centre portfolios. I operate at enterprise scale, translating executive strategy into standards, governance models and change frameworks that are applied consistently across regions, operating models and partner ecosystems. My remit spans critical environments standards, availability risk management, operational readiness and large‑scale operational change—balancing global consistency with local execution in highly complex, safety‑critical environments. The role involves leading and orchestrating multi‑year, multi‑region change programmes, influencing senior engineering, operations, IT, security, health & safety and supply‑chain leaders to drive alignment, reduce risk and improve operational maturity. A core focus is simplifying and modernising standards to maximise adoption, measurability and real‑world impact at scale. I lead and develop a globally distributed team, setting clear accountability for governance, assurance and continuous improvement, while enabling the business to scale rapidly without compromising safety, availability or regulatory compliance. At its core, this role is about making large, complex systems operate with clarity, confidence and consistency—turning complexity into reliable execution across a global estate.
