Owned display bezel and rear cover for next gen Surface device working with Industrial Design to push the limits of size, clearances, and fit of bezels and integrated components. Collaborated daily with cross functional groups to balance each groups needs often playing liaison between groups to find solution to difficult problems.

Fully owned the development of 6 stands and mounts from concept through production supporting Microsoft's Surface Hub program. Responsible for over 200 unique parts and managing their design and manufacturing through vendor/partner relationships. Frequent US and Asia trips for design reviews, part validation, and production troubleshooting.

Develop ideas to improve vehicle performance, specializing in correcting suspension geometry of highly modified cars. Create products from Idea through In-house Manufacturing using 3D printing, CNC Machining, and outside resources when necessary. With the growth into larger CNC capability, expand to take on other design and/or manufacturing projects.

* Used Solid Works daily to design over a dozen injection moldable and sheet metal parts from initial design to productions pieces. * Worked with many outside sources to obtain off the shelf parts and have custom components manufactured both locally and through China. * On current products, provided cost saving solutions to reduce manufacturing time from days to hours. * Implemented process improvements to a prime machine increasing profit potential from $60,000 to $150,000 per day delaying the need to purchase a new machine for an estimated 5 years.

* Designed, modeled, and built fatigue testing machines using Solid Works, Abaqus FEA, Master Cam X2, AVR Studio-4, and Labview. * Developed programming to control testing procedures integrating Labview with Atmel microcontrollers and other electronics for fast and accurate process execution and data collection. * Set up and refined all testing processes to improve consistency of data. * Assisted in preparations for class, grading homework assignments, leading lab exercises, and supervising student machining operations.

* Designed 82” display manufacturing infrastructure creating fixtures and carts for large scale items mechanizing most manual labor processes. Fixtures include Vacuum Glass Handling, Final Assembly Rotisserie, and LCD disassemble and sensor integration. * Developed all programming for motion of actuators powering manufacturing carts. * Created a method for testing open capacitance of sensor wire to reduce final testing from 5 to 2 hours. This testing also reduces repair time with a live update as repairs are made. * Currently developing processes to test sensors during manufacturing so deficiencies are found as they are created and can be repaired. * Combined my skills with outside resources to update and refine X-Y machine and add Z control to wire laying machine. * Design and manage all flex tails and interface routing boards for sensor to transmit/receive boards.

* 5 years experience as an operations manager specializing in maintenance processes. * Supervised and issued workloads, scheduled services on all repairable equipment, issued licenses, and gave classes on various military knowledge. * Designed, organized, and implemented all maintenance procedures for a new unit based on Army Standards. * Instituted Battalion wide Quality Control requirements increasing unit vehicle readiness from less than 10% to over 90% in a unit with over 300 pieces of equipment. * Received awards for exceptional attention to detail, vehicle knowledge, and work ethic.

Educational focuses have been in Controls and Instrumentation using Labview, Matlab, and Microcontrollers, Mechanical Analysis and Design, Machine Process and Optimization, and Solid Modeling using Solid Works. Activities and Societies: Formula SAE member in 2008. -Succeeded in being the first PSU FSAE team to compete in every event at the FSAE Competition.
