As the head of the R&D lab at Poold diagnostics, I am leading the experimental R&D activities of the company in a multidisciplinary team combining biologists, algorithm developers and programmers. Throughout my professional career I have worked across various biology disciplines such as cell therapy, genetics, system biology and plant sciences. In each of these fields I gained new insights into cutting edge technologies and acquired profound understanding of biological processes. I have broad knowledge of molecular and cellular biology lab techniques, also at high- throughput setup, using variety of model systems including bacteria, yeast, cell culture, plants and insects.

Major research areas: 1. Understanding how genomic feature affect the evolution of gene expression: Artificial selection and analysis of dozens of yeast strains expressing tagged proteins using FACS. 2. Exploring the genetic circuits underlying the effective utilization of different carbon sources: Expression profiling of large collection of yeast strains by expression microarrays. 3. Investigating the relationship between chromatin state and gene expression: Chromatin-IP followed by next generation sequencing.
