Throughout my time in the Summer Employment Programme, I worked in the Molecular Diagnostic Lab on the island which specialized in COVID-19 testing.

As a health data clerk my responsibilities were uploading new Covid-19 cases into an international data base. I also used. Excel to put the test results from different testing labs into one spreadsheet. Additionally, I was responsible for updating different aspects of the data base such as the recoveries, hospitalizations, and vaccination status.

Throughout my time as a summer student, I worked in the Child and Adolescent department and learned how mental health is treated in children in Bermuda. I also assisted with answering phones and booking appointments for the clients, as well as organizing patient files.

Throughout my time as a candy stripper, I assisted on the different wards in the hospital, learning many skills. I was able to see how patients were dealt with and learn the basics about patient care. I was also able to work as a waitress in the Pink Lady Café, this taught me how to interact with customers and use problem solving skills if there were any issues.
