An astute professional leader with 40+ years of multifarious experience in Natural Gas Industry in its Technical and Managerial aspects such as Project Management, Operations & Maintenance of Natural Gas Pipelines and Gas Processing Plants, Learning & Development and HR/HRD Among the founder members of GAIL (a Maharatna PSU). Apart from performing key roles in Project Management and Operation & Maintenance of Pipelines and Natural Gas Processing plants, was holding the position of Executive Director (Training, R&D and Start-Up) in GAIL (India) Ltd at the time of superannuation. Presently, he is leading the Natural Gas Society as its Executive Director. He is also the Chairman, ISTD, Delhi Chapter, Member of the Board of Studies at All India Management Association (AIMA) and the Member of the General Body at the Foundation for Organizational Research & Education (FORE). Formerly he was the Director, M/s GAIL Gas Ltd and Director (Personnel), Electronics Corporation of India (ECIL) Instrumental in conceptualization and implementation of various Knowledge Management initiatives – such as launch of ASME (USA) certification courses in pipeline/integrity mgmt, International Workshop on City Gas Distribution & CNG for the participants from SAARC Countries and has been a part of organizing team of Asia Gas Partnership Summits (AGPS). Also organized many L&D interventions to support other organizations including IOCL, HPCL, MRPL(ONGC), GSPC, Torrent, ThinkGas, etc. He was the Leader of the multi-company Task Force constituted by PNGRB for identifying/assessing technical skill gaps in the workforce required for City Gas Distribution (CGD) sector in the country, Affiliated with several Professional (Technical & Management) Bodies such as ASME, AIMA, FICCI, CII, ASSOCHAM, IPE, RGIPT, IIMs, IIPE, SHRM, NIPM, NHRDN etc. Held/holding important positions in the Board, Governing Council, Academic Senate, etc. of these bodies. Was also a Member of the Jury for prestigious FICCI Higher Education Excellence Awards besides being a key contributor in the HR Task Force constituted by Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas (MoPNG). He has been conferred with several Awards like “ISOL Distinguished Scholar” Award, “Asia Pacific Gennext Leadership” Award, “Emerging HRD Thinker” Award, etc. Has extensively participated in National and International Conferences/Seminars/Workshops and L&D programs in Technical and Management domains of Natural Gas Business within India and Overseas. Has also been instrumental in establishing a strong Industry-Academia Interface.
