Founder & Convener
Leading the Coordination of the Circular Economy Coalition. An international coalition of value-aligned individuals and organisations collectively advancing the circular economy through shared tools and resources. Connecting Research and Academia, the Third & Private Sectors as well as the Public & Financial Sectors. Together with Coalition partners in over 20 countries, we collectively define our mission, values, activities and network governance. Integrity, Inclusivity and Transparency are the foundation and we believe that diverse perspectives are required to support the transition to a circular economy that creates a just transition for all - enabling economic prosperity, environmental quality and social equity. The Coalition founding members are diverse in age, gender, economic class, religion, nationality, sexual orientation and educational background.

Shared Green Deal
Europe
SHARED GREEN DEAL’s core goal is to stimulate shared actions on Green Deal initiatives across Europe, by providing Social Sciences and Humanities (SSH) tools to support the implementation of 8 EU Green Deal policy areas, at the local and regional level. SSH research on the green transition has thus far focussed on changes to either individual experiences (‘micro-level’) or societal organisation (‘macro-level’). SHARED GREEN DEAL innovatively focuses on ‘middle range’ (‘meso-level’) changes to bridge these two levels. With regard to this ‘meso-level’, the project will produce applied guidance to facilitate change, and will link societal actors together to foster knowledge transfer and harness their collective experience to then feed back into the ‘macro-level’. SHARED GREEN DEAL, thus, stimulates behavioural, social and cultural change across Europe, aligned with EU Green Deal policy priorities. Importantly, the project takes a transdisciplinary approach, covering 19 social science and humanities disciplines, and incorporates multi-stakeholder, practice-based and policy-science expertise. Moreover, gender studies is a key component that will guide activities throughout the project’s lifetime. SHARED GREEN DEAL will deliver changes in societal practices and in the behaviour of individuals, communities, and public and private organisations.

Speaker & panelist
Disruptive Innovation Festival
Topic: Radical Reuse: Impacts, Technology, and Opportunities Technology is disrupting how we consume products leading to radical reuse and lower environmental impacts. Economic analysis suggests smaller loops, such as maintenance and reuse, hold the greatest potential for value creation in a circular economy. Research indicates that product consumption—when accounting for full life cycles — is among the most unsustainable of human activities. Technology allows stakeholders of all types to not only rent and share products, but also to collaborate and connect within (and across) sectors to optimize physical asset utilisation. This radical reuse can increase profits, improve access to products, while simultaneously reducing consumption, waste, and socio-economic pressure. The DIF (Disruptive Innovation Festival) aims to shift mindsets and inspire action towards a circular economy. Curated by the Ellen MacArthur Foundation, it invites people to share disruptive ideas and stories on a number of topics and attracts a worldwide audience, sparking critical conversations and participation through a combination of live interviews, films, and podcasts.
