Responsible for the design, architecture, and development of MyLittleSalesman.com, including our dealer website platform, third-party integrations, server farm administration, and online marketing initiatives (Google Ads, Facebook Ads). Additional facets of my role include interfacing with clients, providing demos, managing, and training sales staff. Since 2013, I've entirely redeveloped the MyLittleSalesman.com website and backend administration system allowing thousands of clients and end-users to manage millions of ads and inventory of trucks, trailers, heavy equipment and parts for sale. My experience building enterprise applications at Bank of America informed my approach to building a robust, multi-tiered system on .NET, C#, and SQL Server. The new platform prioritizes stability, speed, SEO, functionality, and user experience. Since its launch, daily site traffic has grown from 1,000 to over 20,000 visitors and generates 80,000 page views. The fully mobile-responsive marketplace and dealer management portal leverage Bootstrap, custom jQuery plugins, and various advanced technologies. By consistently incorporating new features based on client feedback, I transformed the platform from a simple advertising site into a robust Dealer Management System (DMS) with Inventory Management, Contact Management, Lead Management, and a Sales Desk integrated with DocuSign. Additionally, I led the branding, pricing strategy, and launch of our SaaS product, DealershipDrive.com. Additionally, I developed integrations with Amazon S3, Twilio, Mailchimp, Zapier, OpenAI, Google, HubSpot, Experian, Caterpillar, uShip, Sandhills Publishing, Dominion (AutoTrader), and numerous other APIs, which facilitate daily operations within the DMS. I also created an integrated e-commerce system with Stripe for payment processing and Xero for accounting.

Biopop Integration Group was a dot-com that was ahead of its time in the remote application service provider business. I started working for them shortly after they were founded and until they essentially stopped getting funded. Due to the small staff, I handled a number of activities for them, included design and development of the company website, all clientele websites, data-driven web-based applications that utilized ASP (VBScript) and COM objects, website traffic analysis, and administration of DNS and IIS servers. I also handled all advertising and marketing in line with the brand: website, trade-show booth, business cards, letterhead, and folders.

Sterling Communications was a privately held advertising agency based in Lincoln, Nebraska. I worked for them until I was offered a generous relocation package and opportunity working for a dot-com in Charlotte, North Carolina. I believe Sterling Communications no longer exists today. Working for an advertising agency was a great experience since you get all sorts of clients with unique challenges. I was responsible for all programming and development of the company and client websites as well as consulting clientele on best practices in online marketing, sales, and usability. One of the larger and exciting web applications I developed using Perl/CGI was a data tracking system for the Nebraska State Activities Association (NSAA), which allowed coaches across the state of Nebraska to record sports and academic activity online. Other notable projects included developing a web content management, shopping cart, and calendar for Keep America Beautiful and a subscriptions, invoicing, and payment reconciliation web tracking system for the Lincoln, Nebraska Independent Business Association. On top of being the lead developer in the company, I also presented to businesses about the technicalities of E-commerce and online sales, selected technology companies to partner with, and maintained email and DNS for over 120 domains with Apache on BSD.

I attended UNL for a year after graduating from high school with a 3.92 GPA (Summa Cum Laude with Honors). At the same time, I bought my first computer and spent the year engrossed with the Internet and how to develop websites. Unfortunately, the University offered no program to learn about emerging web technologies. I always wanted to build things and thus fell in love with building websites. With the help of lots of books, programs like Allaire HomeSite, FutureSplash Animator and Netscape, platforms like Geocities and Tripod, languages like HTML, Javascript, and Perl, the time was spent self-teaching myself about computers, servers, and web-based programming languages for what would be my future path in life.
