Cristina Macias

Hello everyone! I'm Cristina Macias, a junior at the University of Texas at Austin pursuing a BBA in Finance at the McCombs School of Business. I moved from Spain to the U.S. about five years ago and have developed a passion for consulting for its dynamic environment and the opportunity to work on impactful projects that address real-world business challenges. I'm particularly interested in how financial insights drive growth across industries, especially technology and consumer goods. Next summer, I plan to gain practical experience in consulting or finance to apply my academic knowledge and enhance my skills in strategic analysis. Outside of my academic pursuits, I actively engage in organizations such as the University of Finance Association and the Texas Women in Business Association, which allow me to connect with like-minded peers and foster a strong sense of community. Furthermore, my participation in the Graduate Business Summer Program at IE University enhanced my entrepreneurial mindset, allowing me to explore marketing, design thinking, and business strategy. Beyond academics, I enjoy practicing yoga, baking Spanish desserts, and exploring new TV shows!
