As a founding member of the Democracy sales team, I have been involved with all aspects of running the business from the ground up. In my role as Account Executive, I’ve been integral in helping grow Democracy to a multi-million brand and establishing it as a market leader in the missy category. I achieved this by building a cache of over 200 specialty retailers from scratch and ultimately expanding into mid-tier, top-tier, off-price, private label, international, and e-commerce lines of business. Additionally, I’ve established fundamental infrastructure to execute and streamline major brand development projects. As Project Manager, I have successfully planned Democracy’s participation from start-to-finish at multiple trade shows and produced the brand’s photo shoots. The range of my responsibilities include: - Manage accounts daily and nurture relationships with retailers for continued partnership - Monitor business profitability and maximize growth opportunities by analyzing sales trends - Lead market appointments with buyers and management to review business and plan new buys - Collaborate with design and production teams on product development - Curate a collection of core, trend and replenishment items to sell to accounts - Merchandise monthly product assortments tailored to specific fashion, regional and retail needs - Coordinate logistics with customer service and warehouse to ensure shipment deadlines - Mentor Sales Assistants by delegating workflow, developing skills, and fostering potential - Plan and execute 6 Lifestyle and Product photo shoots per year and directly oversee all styling and final content Retail Relationships: Amazon.com, Stitch Fix, Dillard’s, Bealls Florida, CATO/Versona, Ricki’s Canada, Von Maur, Macy’s Backstage Trade Shows: STYLEMAX Chicago, MAGIC Las Vegas and PROJECT Las Vegas
