I have more than 45 years experience in the automotive industry having worked predominantly in the distribution automotive aftermarket with Europe's largest privately owned dealership group Arnold Clark. At Arnold Clark Autoparts, I have presided over the motor factor's meteoric rise, which has ensured customers have benefited from the wide range of products and services available from Arnold Clark, with Autoparts being one of the first distributors to adopt the philosophy of supplying everything a workshop requires. With suppliers, I have adopted an extremely long term strategy and while others in the marketplace have consistently changed their supply base, we have delivered profitability to our suppliers of both traditional and new products. Throughout the past 45 years, my skills have developed considerably in areas such as procurement and marketing. I have been a key player in the negotiation of multi-million pound agreements and effective in the roll-out of marketing strategies designed to deliver a substantial return on investment. I am a results-orientated leader with verifiable record of accomplishments that includes customer satisfaction and increased efficiency. I am willing and eager to undertake new challenges to broaden my horizon in order to gain personal and professional growth. Away from work, I enjoy keeping fit, watching sports, fishing and frequently attending the theatre and music concerts.
