Having recently graduated with a masters degree in Social Research Methods I am aiming to build up a portfolio of research experience. From my training at university I am skilled in a range of approaches to social research, in particular quantitative and qualitative research. Having applied this training in practice I understand the whole research process, from research design to data analysis. Also, given this in-depth training I am aware of the strengths and weaknesses of research. This is particiularly useful for evaluating research and finding new ways to develop projects. I have experieince conducting indepth qualitative interviews and focus groups as well as quantitative survey design and interviews. In addition, I am experienced in statistical analysis of survey data using SPSS and Microsoft Excel. I would ideally like to use my skills to support policy formation or to carry out program evaluation in the third or public sector. However, I would not rule out market research.

Aberdeen Cyrenians' support individuals in our community that are homeless, at risk of becoming homeless or affected by homelessness in anyway. We aim to meet the basic needs of those individuals by providing access to food, shelter, clothing and toiletries as well as identifying the underlying issues to their homelessness. This could include mental health, learning disabilities, substance misuse, abuse, unemployment and financial difficulties.
