* Assessing high and low-risk visa applications and evaluating the validity of the documents provided * Making the ultimate decision of granting or refusing an applicant entry clearance to the United Kingdom * If refusing, ensure a detailed refusal letter is written that is comprehendible and to the high standards required * Processing high volumes of applications daily and hitting targets, whilst also accurately making the right decision.

* As a Marketing Intern my daily tasks included: * Uploading new events onto our official website * Managing our social media platforms, such as our public Wechat, Facebook page and Meetup group * Investigating new ways of promoting our trips online * Posting adverts on forums, and specifically popular expat websites such as SmartShanghai and Cityweekend Shanghai * Finding useful and interesting articles for our Public wechat page * Writing own articles and travel blogs to be shared online * I also worked as a Researcher, contacting other agencies both in China and overseas to research new long distance routes, plan itineraries and calculate pricing. * I also helped promote our company at networking events, talking to both potential customers and corporate companies looking for team building activities.

Taught English to two 14-year-olds. Prepared and used own teaching material, adapting to their own specific needs. Created games to help boost their confidence and completed activities which increased their interest in both the English language and culture. Both achieved a grade above performance predicted the previous year.

Promote the study of modern languages, helping out on language-specific open days and making sure prospective students and parents gain a good insight into the course offered. Duties also include giving guided tours of the University Campus.
