Dr. Courtnie Wolfgang is an instructor of Arts Education and Affiliate Faculty in Women's and Gender Studies at the University of South Carolina. Her research foci include intersections of post-structural, post/feminist, and Queer theories with arts pedagogies, community practices, and socially just Arts Education practices. Recent publication sites include Visual Arts Research, Studies in Art Education, and The Journal of Social Theory in Art Education. Ongoing research sites include collaborative arts-based workshops with adolescent girls in juvenile arbitration and development of arts education programming for communities in need, transition, or crisis.

I successfully defended my dissertation- Performed Discipline/ Collaborative Discipline: Feminism, Deleuze, and Becoming Interdisciplinary in Higher Education- during the summer of 2011.
