At Glazer’s Camera, I approached every customer experience with a determination to make them feel taken care of, help them find what they need, and leave them feeling a little more knowledgeable. It was a unique opportunity to work for a family-owned and operated business that has flourished since opening 80 years ago. Being the head of front counter operations was a blast, directing foot traffic and answering phone calls, helping photographers get the information they need. I also assisted with events and classes, informational demos, and print and online marketing. I created and taught a course on beginners boudoir photography that was very well received. -Event Manager for the South Lake Union Block Party and the Top Pot Donut Dash. Public ambassador for general camera education as well as company information. Tasks included setting up/tearing down photo booths and info tables, transporting gear, and communicating with staff. This resulted in a 15% increase in profit revenue for that day. -Managed multiple calendars for the staff -Coordinated sales by reaching out to potential customers, making 30-40 calls and taking an average of 35 incoming calls a day. -Provided customer support daily in-person, over the phone, and via email to troubleshoot technical problems resulting in 100% customer satisfaction surveys.

At Azucena Lingerie, I was the Creative Director and Staff Photographer. I photographed product and produced artistic graphics for the website. I also marketed the site through blog writing, facebook, twitter and print ads. I gained so much experience finding creative solutions to problems, retaining an open mind, and staying on task to achieve the goal that was best suited for the website and our clients.

As the Cafe Educator, I trained employees in espresso and latte art, and stayed up to date on new single origin coffees we roasted. I planned events for the cafe including several popular Art Fairs which showcased local musicians and artists, giving them a chance to market themselves and sell their art. Working at Caffe Ladro as a barista was a fantastic place for inspiration and marketing my skills. It greatly helped in my individual art career. I made dozens of contacts through the years, and the job itself allowed me flexibility to pursue my calling by going to school and starting my own photography business. It was the perfect setting for getting to know how people work, and I loved helping my customers any way that I could. Plus, I can make a mean Cup o' Joe.
