After having been a volunteer leader at Tech for two years, I joined Student Staff to become the team leader of my Young Life team. Serving as the team leader, I have a large role in planning, organizing, and leading weekly bible studies, planing and facilitating various Young Life events, and providing training and leadership to the volunteer leaders on our team, while still building strong relationships with students by spending time with them outside of Young Life activities.

Younglife is an outreach ministry that is focused on sharing the gospel through relationships with others. Younglife at Arsenal Tech High School reaches out to students at the school. As a volunteer leader, I spent 10-15 hours each week directly with students. I was in charge of leading weekly Bible studies and helping my team to plan and facilitate weekly after-school programming activities. Since the ministry is based on relationships, I spent a lot of time each week hanging out with students as I ate lunch in the school cafeteria, attend school functions (like athletic games, pep assemblies, performances), and do things they like to do (like hang out at the mall).

During my time as a Staff Associate in Louisville, I started a Young Life program in the Fern Creek community and developed a city wide Capernaum Young Life ministry for students with disabilities.
