About
"The most liberating and empowering day of my life was the day I freed myself from my own self-destruction." In 2013, I surrendered my active addiction to mindful recovery. I have since developed a strong passion to give back to the community that supported my healing process. With a background in trauma-informed recovery, co-occurring disorders, community outreach, and policy analysis, I have the desire to break down the stereotypes that surround underserved, marginalized populations. Currently, I work with Oregonians battling the many plagues of poverty such as homelessness, substance abuse, domestic violence, racism and cultural barriers, and mental health limitations. I am also working towards my Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and always seeking out greater opportunities to learn. I find it invaluable to connect with others in my community who offer support services such as trauma recovery, addiction treatment, low-income housing assistance, and job-readiness training programs. Should these conversations be of interest, please reach out!
