Cornelius Baur

I am an investor (esp in healthcare) and board member of multiple publicly traded companies, serving there eg. as Chair of the Audit committee or Chair of the Restructuring committee. Until end of 2021 I was a Senior Partner at McKinsey’s Munich offices. From January 2014 until March 2021, I led McKinsey & Company’s German and Austrian office as Managing Partner. Prior to becoming Managing Partner of the German and Austrian office, I led our European Operations Practice. I primarily advise industrial clients, focusing on global strategies for automakers and suppliers, electronics manufacturers, engineering, machinery and med tech companies. Before joining McKinsey, I completed an apprenticeship in industrial management at Siemens and then studied business administration at the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität (LMU) in Munich, earning a doctorate with a dissertation on strategic decisions in the automotive industry.
