After finishing community college in 2011, I decided to join the Marine Corps to both serve my country and push my personal limits. I never looked back. I volunteered to become an infantryman, and excelled in this role. My performance as a junior enlisted Marine led to my selection to the Marine Embassy Security group. While serving at U.S. Embassies in Europe, Africa, and Asia working alongside local military and law enforcement, I began to forge a great appreciation for the effect United States political and economic policy has on the world. This experience left me with a great interest in international politics and U.S. national security. Currently, I am majoring in Government and minoring in History at W&M, with an international focus. I also serve as the President at the Student Veterans of W&M, where we work to reconcile veteran-related issues in coalition with campus faculty and administrators. It is my desire to secure meaningful employment within the national security apparatus of the federal government.
