under the supervision of Prof. Stuart Conway. My DPhil project focused on the design, synthesis and validation of chemical tools for the study of Bromodomains. My research involved organic chemistry synthesis, protein expression and purification, as well as the set up and analysis of biophysical assays (waterLOGSY, CPMG NMR, fluorescence polarisation).

iCASE placement fully integrated within my DPhil project. Worked in the immuno-inflammation DPU on synthesis and library screen.

Worked on an anti-infective disease project; this included organic synthesis, reaction optimisation and purifications. Main focus was to augment the SAR study and cellular potency. Received the 2nd EFMC-Roche studentship award for outstanding contributions to the project during the internship.
