Developed an aortic valve suitable for percutaneous implantation, which overcome all the limitations experienced in the first clinical trials with this endovascular approach. Furthermore, the responsibilities included acting as the Laboratory Manager for the Cardiovascular Engineering & Medical Devices group. This involved managing and personnel training on the machinery (pulse duplicator, tensile test machine, optical microscope, industrial ovens etc.). A patent has been published for this work.
