Third placement in EDF Energy's Analyst graduate scheme. Worked within EDF Energy's Business to Consumer (B2C) Commercial department in the Pricing team. This placement's key responsibilities were informing of competitor price changes, running and improving the operational processes related to tariff closures, tariff launches and the 'Blue Alert' offer to inform customers of tariffs cheaper than the one they were on. My achievements included: - The significant reduction in workload required to inform of competitor price changes - working with key stakeholders to understand their needs and creating a range of VBA tools to validate data coming from our external partners. - Building an in-depth understanding of tariff structure and customer bills to be able to test if the correct savings messages were displayed on correspondence. - Supplying the B2C Commercial Director with analysis to inform Standard Variable and Fixed tariff decisions and to better understand the market. Including creating new slides for meetings of the Customers leadership team.

Second placement in EDF Energy Business Analyst graduate scheme. Worked in the Deployment Operations Centre of the Smart Metering Programme. The Deployment Operations Centre is the 'mission control' of the Smart Metering Programme within EDF Energy, coordinating business functions to deliver a successful Smart Meter deployment. In this placement my focus was the planning function within Smart Metering, including the operational weekly planning of Smart meter installations and the long term planning out to the end of the programme. The longer term planning involved working closely with stakeholders to optimise the roll-out profile based based on key go-live dates. Additionally I led on the development and maintenance of the key planning models. The other aspect of this placement was the operational functions of the Deployment Operations Centre, co-ordinating with key stakeholders. I built and developed models and automated processes in excel to reduce the manual work required.
