Reporting directly to the board of Directors I am responsible for the strategy and on target performance of the Procurement, Logistics, Service & Repair and Production departments. This role has involved the organisational development of a team of 25 Managers, Supervisors and operatives and implementing a restructuring strategy to enable the company to identify and pursue incremental added value opportunities to support the Business development activity in the Retail, Banking and Mobile Computing sectors. Utilising a range of best practice LEAN methods I have delivered improved efficiencies across a complex range of service, assembly and integration activities. These improvements have been implemented while still meeting strict commercial parameters demanded by the board of Directors and generating incremental revenue from our services and production offering. In a diverse and fast moving IT business it is imperative that the day to day management of our Operation can meet the ever shifting demands of a complex and diverse organisation while understanding and implementing best practice production principles to ensure efficient and consistent delivery standards are achieved and maintained.

Reporting directly to the Board of Directors I was responsible for strategy, risk and performance of the department including the management of 11 staff. Working with evaluation and selection processes in line with the standards required by ISO 9001:2000 I am responsible for a budget of £18m per annum with an operating inventory of £2.5m. Key vendor relationships are spread across multinational corporate suppliers and Far Eastern manufacturers including Epson, Toshiba, Honeywell, Verifone, Firich, and Tyco Electronics. I have developed and implemented core logistical operations throughout the business to accommodate worldwide import and export supply chains, domestic next day parcels and freight, bespoke and same day parcels and freight, and on-site exchange services. I am responsible for ensuring that resource planning and product scheduling is aligned with sales and delivery targets and I have developed and use a range of purchasing methods including just in time, cost efficient call off, and Kanban replenishment.
