* Received a crash course in the bankruptcy process, especially chapter 11, and how TCM built its business around it * Cold called creditors in various chapter 11 bankruptcy cases in an effort to convince them to sell their stakes to TCM in exchange for short term capital * Explained to them that both parties would benefit * they would receive short term capital and not have to wait for the case to advance through the courts, while TCM could afford to wait because they constantly had old cases paying out * In explaining the time value of money to over 200 people I became completely comfortable working over the phone and conducting business with total strangers

Walked clients through their paperwork for personal and corporate returns, explaining the various documents to them and how to pay any outstanding balances to the state or federal government - Ran the front office for a period of about three weeks. I picked up the phone, answered every email, scheduled appointments for the principal accountant, filed, ordered office supplies, managed payroll and billing. I did everything except advise people on their taxes - In my spare time I completed the IRS Volunteer Training Program for personal returns. Though I am not certified in any way, I am capable of filing simple personal returns - Inputted many returns to Lacerte, our tax software, and became very comfortable with using it

Part of a sales team responsible for managing the accounts of RMS' seven largest reinsurance clients - Tasked with making presentations about each client so that any new additions to the global brokerage team could quickly and easily familiarize themselves with the accounts - I drew information from company websites, constructed org charts, pored over financial reports, and conducted internal interviews with former account managers - A big part of my job was finding out whether these re-insurers had developed their own modeling capabilities. To this end I conducted interviews with former employees and closely monitored press releases in an effort to glean information about the secretive process

Skateboarding Club I founded the club to provide a community for the few skateboarders that call Boston College home. We organize "sessions" on campus as well as trips to skate parks in and around Boston. We manage an active Instagram account that, through regular video updates, documents the progress of every skateboarder in the organization. I aim to connect with skateboarders at every school in Boston, very few of whom have organized themselves, and create a network of friends throughout the city.
