About

As an Epidemiologist, Biostatistician, and Public Health professional, my motivation comes from seeing how reliable evidence can guide decisions that prevent disease and save millions of lives. I focus on generating and using insights from health systems assessment and impact evaluation, health data analysis and biostatistical research to inform public health interventions, and humanitarian response. My thematic interests are in communicable and non-communicable disease epidemiology, climate and health, nutrition, development and humanitarian sectors. For over 4 years, I have developed skills and experience in research design, data analysis, monitoring and evaluation, and evidence translation to support better public health outcomes. Selected Achievements 🔹 Emergency Care Systems Assessment in Kenya: Led a team of 20 clinician research assistants to evaluate emergency care capacity across all 47 counties using the WHO Emergency Care Systems Framework and Kenya Emergency Medical Care Policy 2020 to 2030. Assessed policies, financing, facility readiness, and prehospital-hospital coordination. Findings informed national actions including emergency care training, equipment support, and county emergency care plans. 🔹 Consortium MEAL Leadership for a 3 million euro ECHO Grant: Served as MEAL Lead for an eight agency consortium including NRC, DRC, HIAS, REHORI, RCK, Halgan, and FilmAid. Led program design, monitoring, evaluation, and learning for protection interventions reaching 400,000 refugees and host communities in Nairobi, Kakuma, Kalobeyei, and Dadaab. Supported evidence generation for adaptive management and donor reporting. 🔹 Research Quality Strengthening at Eider Africa: Improved research rigor among Masters and PhD public health scholars by reviewing proposals, mentoring through webinars, and developing a research methodology guidance note. Skills and Technical Strengths 📊 Statistical modeling, data management, and analysis with R for public health and biomedical research – Portfolio: https://github.com/audicollins-96 📈 Data management, visualization, and storytelling using SQL, Power BI, Excel, and Tableau 🧩 Project design, monitoring, evaluation, and learning and public health research methodology
