Whilst continuing my studies at Ulster University I took on the 6 month commercial sales trainee programme: - Supported sales teams in identifying opportunities and engaging with customers. - Assisted with customer site visits, machine demos, and trade events. - Participated in proposal preparation, pricing, and deal support. - Collaborated with technical and aftermarket departments to resolve customer needs. - Maintained accurate CRM records and produced basic reporting. - Attended focused training modules in product knowledge, sales skills, and market understanding.

This apprenticeship included: Time spent building machines on the shop floor for for 1.5 years. The rest of the time was spent in mechanical design engineering for Prostack a Terex Brand.

This course was a combination of mechanical engineering principles, design, manufacturing processes and systems. The course allowed for a wide range of practical activities and opportunities for team working, data analysis and problem solving, incorporating various computer-based IT engineering applications. I had access to industry standard design software packages including Solid Works, AutoCAD, Cosmos FEA, and was encouraged to develop my IT skills using software such as Microsoft Office. This course can help to prepare for a range of technical and management careers in mechanical engineering and manufacture engineering.
