As a Spatial Analyst at Deep End, I undertook both Cartographic and Demographic research to assist in the development of location-based services for clients in retail industries, focusing on Property Economics analysis for national expansions. This involved geocoding and georeferencing data within MapInfo software forming interactive visualizations through the creation of market-share and thematic maps, depicting demographic trends, population growth and client store sales forecasting.

I joined Parks Victoria as Team Leader of the Spatial Mapping and Analysis team, made up of 9 Geospatial specialists. The team sits within the Information Technology Services branch where we provide spatial systems support to all Parks Victoria staff. We specialize in the creation of mapping products such as Visitor Guides, Signage Maps and Management Plans using Esri ArcGIS software and Adobe Illustrator. Parks Victoria is a statutory authority, created by the Parks Victoria Act 2018 and reporting to the Minister. We are responsible for managing an expanding and diverse estate covering more than 4 million hectares, or about 18 per cent, of Victoria. We work in partnership with other government and non-government organisations and community groups such as the Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning, catchment management authorities, private land owners, volunteers, licensed tour operators, lessees, research institutes and the broader community.

As a Graduate at Tract Consultants, I was responsible for the research and preparation of GIS data for major projects in waterfront regeneration, master planned communities and activity-centre design using Bentley Microstation, MapInfo and Adobe InDesign software. I created hand-drawn Urban Design plans, assisted in tender applications and analysed open space opportunities for pedestrian modeling to improve transport links.

My role sits within the Advisory practice for the Policy, Programs and Evaluation team, where I specialize in Geospatial analysis and cartography as well as Demographic research for government and non-government agencies. Our sector focus includes: Education and employment, ageing, healthcare, justice and security, defence and national security, transport and infrastructure, central government and family, children & community services. My focus of work involves the creation of complex mapping solutions for clients using QGIS, Tableau & MapInfo software and undertaking demographic research to assist the above sectors in planning, policy, urban development analysis, population and demographic segmentation and providing striking visual demographic insights.
