My role at the YMCA of Greater Naples was to oversee operations of the fitness areas on two separate floors, working alongside staff and personal trainers as they run sessions and classes. I structured a class that involved the guiding of members through a myofascial release-focused foam rolling session, explaining the benefits and instructional how-to movements of foam rolling as a supplement to workout regimen. I implemented a program for members to follow a "Workout of the Week", tailoring workouts that would benefit the general population. I also implemented a program for younger members to follow the "Technique of the Week", where I highlighted a specific exercise, movement, or technique for younger members to hone their skills going into their own weekly workout regimens.

As an Exercise Science student intern, I assisted the Athletic Coordinator in taking athletes through exercise programs and helped implement proper training protocols, procedures, etc. I worked with athletes from Middle School to High School age groups and across various sports disciplines such as soccer, football, lacrosse, and basketball. The Athletic Coordinator was also a gym teacher, so I assisted him with his Middle School gym class sessions, developing new ways to make exercise science principles exciting and engaging for younger age groups.
