Experience

President / Interim CEO
Chicago, Illinois, United States
Asked by the board of directors to take over leadership of the company when it was facing a crisis. Successfully turned the company around, reorganizing and restructure every aspect of our operations. I orchestrated the sale of one of our business units to Lippert Components International. Pivoted investment strategy towards development of targeted sonic projection algorithms and launched functional prototype of said product for US Special Operations Command leading to a $2.5m in contracts. Closed a major deal with Klipsch, launching the NW7 integrated subwoofer transducer. Brought our second generation of transducers to mass manufacturability standards and yields. Led fund raising efforts for the company in October 2022, resulting in a $2m seed round to add to the $13.5m the company had raised.

Publisher — Pineapple Magazine & Airbnb Mag / Head of Content Marketing
San Francisco, California, United States
Leader of our content marketing strategy and stakeholder in our rebranding efforts. In 2014 I created Pineapple, an award winning magazine and Airbnb's first foray into media publishing. The magazine was an integral part of our public rebranding in 2014. Orchestrated the eventually sale of Pineapple to Hearst through a joint-venture. Partnering with Joanna Coles from Hearst, we rebranded Pineapple and launched the first issue of Airbnb Mag in 2016. The quarterly magazine remained in print and available at newsstands globally for 4 years.

Director of Communications — EMEA & LATAM
London, England, United Kingdom
Led corporate and marketing communications across 14 markets in Europe, the Middle East and Latin America. Effectively led all brand building efforts for Airbnb during the rapid expansion into Europe and Latin America in 2012. During that time, Airbnb opened offices in 14 countries. All brand, marketing and corporate communications for those markets were centralized with the team I led and built from the ground up. In addition to our in house team, I also hired and actively managed 8 agencies to bolster our output of creative marketing and PR communications. Awards: 2013 WSJ Marketers That Matter- Product Marketer of the Year

Head of Marketing and Communications
San Francisco, California, United States
I was the first non-technical employee to be hired by Airbnb. I was employee number 6. Through strategic, creative and product initiatives I helped build the Airbnb brand from scratch with nearly zero advertising budget. Developed Airbnb's initial crisis communications plan. Built the communications team from the ground up. Led all PR and marketing efforts.

Co-Founder
London, England, United Kingdom
Founding partner of Tracksmith. Together with Matt Taylor and Luke Scheybeler we created the Tracksmith brand. The idea for Tracksmith was a dream of mine that started in 2008. In 2012, with Luke and myself together in London and Matt in Boston, we joined forces to bring the idea to life. Tracksmith eventually raised Series A funding on the back of our work and launched in early 2014, with Luke and I eventually handing the company over to Matt to run as CEO from Boston. I can proudly say, we developed and built a brand that has stood the test of the time. From the clothing design, to the communications, through to the branding and marketing elements. The brand we established lives and breathes my original ideas to this very day.

Professional Runner
Colorado Springs, Colorado, United States
I was blessed with the talent to run fast and more importantly a work ethic that took me to the top of the sport. I ultimately retired before “my prime” to pursue a career in technology. Along the way I missed the 2004 Olympic Team by less than a second in the 1500m at the age of 19. I was the US Champion 1500m in 2006. Finished 7th at the World Championships 2006. I hold as my top achievement the fact that I ran 3:33.28 for 1500m (3:50 mile)
