EDFRNA's Fundamental Analytics team is a part of the companies larger Valuation and Analytics group. Our role within the group is to provide forecasts for the uncontracted revenue of our Renewable Energy projects in North America. These forecasts are critical to the companies investment decisions for each project and my role regularly requires presentations to senior management on key assumptions and market insight. As a member of this team, it is my responsibility to oversee the core studies that create forecasts for Round-The-Clock energy prices, Generation-Weighted energy prices, Renewable Energy Credit, ELCC, and Capacity Revenue forecasts for any NA market of interest to the EDF Group. I also am the lead analyst for the WECC region. A key component of this work includes leading the internal working group for each study with EDF's internal subject matter experts and EDF group's strategy division. To create these forecasts, my team and I use a python based production-cost model developed by EDF's R&D group. I also have worked with my other team members to create data analytics tools, such as Tableau dashboards and assumption tracking documents. I have written multiple internal documents detailing our processes and led the modeling work for the ERCOT, NYISO, ISO-NE, IESO, CAISO, MISO and SPP markets. I have also supported modeling work in the PJM and AESO markets.

Rotation #1: Worked on the Fundamental Analytics team within the Valuations and Analytics department to compute the forward pricing curves for the ERCOT Market. I was responsible for developing our first internal model of the ERCOT energy system and creating Round-the-Clock and Generation-Weighted energy price forecasts. These inputs are critical assumptions when the company is making investment decisions. During my rotation I was trained on an EDF developed Production Cost model, given a basic training in PROMOD and develop multiple Python scripts to improve data management of our model inputs. At the end of my rotation, I wrote two reports outlining the ERCOT database and forecast creation processes. I also gave a presentation on these processes to senior management.

Worked under the Plant Manager and Operations Supervisor to design a chilled water system from excess steam generation. The chilled water loop would allow for the installation of air-inlet cooling systems for the combustion turbines on site to improve performance during warm months when power generation diminishes. The system would also eventually replace old oil cooling equipment for various plant equipment as they reach their end of life.
