Clint Miller
Director of Operations, Merchandising, and Sales @ Golden Sombrero Licensing
About
I specialize in building and optimizing commercial revenue systems around sports and entertainment IP, with a focus on licensing architecture, retail economics, and experiential programs. I’ve spent more than two decades inside the machinery of brands—building them, launching them, fixing them, and getting them into the world the right way. I started my career at Foot Locker during the height of the 1990s sneaker boom, slinging Jordans and upselling sneaker cleaner and socks. I rose through the retail ranks as a buyer and then boutique owner just as streetwear was finding its footing. From there, I moved into national brand representation and distribution, helping introduce and scale fashion, footwear, eyewear, and lifestyle brands across North America. I led launches and broad rollouts for names like Sugarcane Denim, Ksubi Eyewear, Le Specs, Quay Eyewear, Dosh Wallets, 3Sixteen, Waiting for the Sun, and others—overseeing everything from merchandising and pricing to logistics, sales strategy, and market rollout. Today, my work spans sports, music, and entertainment IP—where strong brands don’t always have strong commercial structure behind them. I step in when something is launching, scaling, or starting to strain under its own growth, and bring the discipline and processes required to make it profitable and sustainable. That usually means tightening category strategy, pressure-testing distribution, aligning merchandise planning with retail timing, and structuring partnerships that hold up long term. I spend as much time in the mechanics and strategy—costing, calendars, operational sales cadence—as I do in project execution. I think long-horizon, but I operate in the present. Strategies need to be executable now, not just sound good in a deck. I’m selective about what I take on. Clarity, accountability, and follow-through matter. If this aligns with what you’re building, feel free to reach out.
