Managed creation, consolidation, and submission of IT annual budget and quarterly reforecasts to Finance. Reviewed and approved General Ledger journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations in order to ensure accurate reporting of IT financial data. • Implemented continuous business process analysis and improvement while leading a business process outsourcing initiative, in an effort to reduce expenses and increase productivity via an offshore business model. • Provided planning and analysis support for more than 100 cost centers in preparing monthly management reporting and variance analysis, quarterly forecasts and annual budgets of $225M, and validated the accuracy of accounting entries and balances in accordance with GAAP.

• Responsible for managing suspense accounting transactions for Fixed and Variable Annuity divisions, improving related processes, and reducing outstanding items • Defined PeopleSoft General Ledger mapping translations, direct system testing, and validated results • Core project team member for PeopleSoft General Ledger redesign and upgrade projects • Responded to and supply material for internal and external audit requests • Defined, documented, tested, and remediated policies and procedures pertaining to SOX 404 initiatives • Defined and monitored Key Risk Indicators and reviewed incidents with Operational Risk Management
