Jobs on the vineyard are seasonal, from Pruning in early January/February to Frost fighting in March/April where I’d be on call overnight to protect the vines from frost damage. Through the summer months I would be required to spray the vines using a variety of boom sprayers and supervise a team of Agency Workers to carry out a number of tasks in preparation for harvest in November. Since working for Nyetimber I completed my PA 1, 2 & 3 qualifications and had experience using heavy machines such as, a Tractors, towing trailers, Vine trimmers, mowers a variety of boom and air assisted sprayers etc.
