Clint Carmichael

Clint Carmichael is a seasoned maritime executive with over 30 years of experience in shipping, port development, and integrated logistics across India and Africa. A former Naval officer, he brings a disciplined, operations-focused approach to building high-performing, safety-driven port organizations. His career spans the entire port value chain — from ships agency and liner operations to bulk, break-bulk, RORO, automotive, and rail logistics. This extensive background enables him to bridge operational realities with strategic infrastructure planning and investment delivery. Currently serving as Chief Operating Officer at Gujarat Pipavav Port Limited (APM Terminals), Clint leads one of India’s first public–private partnership (PPP) ports — a diverse, multi-cargo gateway integrating digital systems, ESG principles, and enhanced hinterland connectivity. Previously, he served as Chief Operating Officer for Egypt’s first dedicated RORO Terminal, where he played a key role in the design, construction, and operational execution of a modern, multimodal port facility.
