Material Planning & Kitting - Forecast and pull raw materials: film rolls, cartons, ink, boxes, masterbatches - Stage line-side kits so operators don’t stop: right film width, correct date code, right laminate for product 2. Raw Material & Packaging Release - Confirm QC has released each batch of film, ingredients, additives before line start-up - Manage FIFO/FEFO for perishables and packaging to prevent waste 3. Line Feeding & Replenishment - Keep Universal Packs machines fed with film, ink, nitrogen gas. - Coordinate with warehouse for timely changeovers when SKU or batch changes. 4. Inventory Accuracy & Work In Progress Control - Do hourly WIP counts: empty sachets, packed cartons, rejected film 5. Changeover & Waste Management - Support SKU changeovers: clear old film, bring new film, update date coders - Segregate rework vs true waste per FDA/GSA requirements 6. Compliance & Traceability - Record lot numbers of film, ingredients, cartons used per batch for recall readiness - Ensure packaging meets FDA Ghana labeling rules: batch no., mfg/exp date, net weight 7. Coordination & Problem Solving - Act as link between Production, Warehouse, QA, and Maintenance - Escalate stock-outs 2–4 hours before they hit the line 8. Finished Goods Handover - Confirm cartons are labeled, palletized, and scanned into WMS correctly - Move FG to quarantine until QA release, then to dispatch.
