About
Graduating Cum Laude from UCLA's department of Society and Genetics with a degree in Human Biology & Society and a minor in Global Health, I am passionate about healthcare equity and accessibility, and finding innovative solutions to public health problems rooted in both creative technology and authentic community engagement. I am motivated by my studies in global public health, biotechnology, reproductive health, childhood and teen health education, and racial equity in health. With my undergraduate research position at UCLA's Biocritical Studies Lab, I have gained experience with quantitative and qualitative research with a biology and social justice lens. As a Public Relations committee member for the Pediatric AIDS Coalition, I have successfully conducted outreach to local and national health organizations, political representatives, and university officials, showcasing my ability to represent organizational causes and foster community support. I recently spent the Fall 2023 semester studying abroad in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and Santiago, Chile, in a program about Human Rights and Cultural Memory. I studied the topic from myriad perspectives including South American History, Philosophy, Sociology, Media Studies, and Law. My leadership experience, work with children, and California policy fellowship have all contributed to my passion for understanding the intersections between social justice, biology, and public health in a changing world.
