I am a Clinical Psychologist working within the National & Specialist Paediatric Liaison Service. I specialise in working with children, young people, and their families who are being cared for by the Liver, Gastroenterology & Nutrition Department at King's College Hospital. I utilise an integrated approach to clinical work and provide a range of psychotherapies, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Behavioural Interventions, brief Psychodynamic Psychotherapy and systemic therapy. I have undertaken further training in Narrative Therapy. My doctoral research explored how parents make sense of their experience of their child being diagnosed with Asperger’s syndrome. My interest in understanding families’ constructions of meaning has continued in my clinical work supporting children & families in the process of adjusting to chronic illness. I have presented at national and international conferences on a range of topics relating to both paediatric psychology and autism.
