I recently graduated from Cal Poly Pomona (M.S. Aerospace Engineering), and I enjoy finding challenges and creating innovative ways to solve engineering problems. I specialize in mechanical/aerospace engineering design, numerical analysis, and control system simulation. In college, I excelled in numerical modeling, aerodynamics, aircraft design, and computational fluid dynamics (CFD). I especially enjoyed working in a team environment in order to achieve larger design goals. Aside from academic projects, I also competed as part of a team in the AIAA Foundation 2012-2013 Undergraduate Team Space Design Competition, where we placed 3rd overall. I am very passionate about aerospace engineering, and my hope is to have a significant contribution to the development of mechanical systems in the aerospace industry.

Master's Project - Predictive Rapidly-Expanding Random Tree (RRT) Path Planning: Investigated the viability of a Predictive RRT path planning method for active collision avoidance. Path planning was simulated with a closed-loop fixed-wing aircraft model iteratively moving from start to end points through an environment with known static and dynamic obstacles. Presented paper at AIAA SciTech 2016. Aircraft Design - Next Generation Strategic Bomber: Carried out design process by conceptually and preliminarily designing a flying wing long range strike bomber. Design includes preliminary estimates of the weights, low speed aerodynamics and performance, initial sizing of the planform, control surfaces and inlet/nozzle, and selection of engines and various subsystems. Parametric sizing was performed utilizing carpet plots for a final selection. Activities and Societies: Project Alpha Intercity Youth Mentoring: Talked to high school students about the importance of being involved in STEM fields.

System Architecture Model: Modeled architecture of a lunar descent/landing system as part of a larger architecture. Developed and connected operational activities, corresponding functions, components, risks, requirements, and their respective informations and parameters. Senior Project - SLERB: Studied the acoustic difference between a Serrated Leading Edge Rotor Blade compared to a straight leading edge with mathematical modeled geometry, CAD models, 3D prints, structural modeling, experimental testing, and data analysis. Senior Design - Space Based Solar Power: Carried out design process by conceptually and preliminarily designing a system to provide electrical power. Design includes preliminary estimates for the propulsion, attitude control, thermal, telecommunication, command and data handling, and power systems as well as orbital and budget analyses. Design has completed CoDR and PDR at JPL. Placed 3rd in AIAA Foundation 2012-2013 Undergraduate Team Space Design Competition.
